On August 11, 2005, an old fashioned “Townhall” type of meeting was held in the Bannockburn School library to discuss the recent rash of teardowns in Del Mar Woods.

The primary purpose of the meeting was to focus on trees being removed to make way for much larger homes replacing small, single story ranches.

Thirty nine (39) residents representing 28 homes attended the meeting.

A vote measuring the attendies feelings towards exploration of a Del Mar Woods “Tree Ordinance” indicated 22 homeowners were in favor of exploring such an ordinance and 6 against.
